Technology Associates partners with government and commercial agencies that require development of systems, such as communication systems, asset management, network deployment and engineering services, power and energy management solutions, portal applications, command and control, and geospatial information systems (GIS) to operate more efficiently and profitably.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide geospatial technical support.
Conduct geospatial data compilation.
Provide quality assurance for geospatial data issues.
Develop mapping products to facilitate information exchange.
Maintain compliance with Federal Geospatial standards.
Utilize GIS software to manipulate data in a raster and vector based geospatial environment.
Convert various data types into geodatabase feature classes.
Create, configure and administer enterprise geodatabases.
Provide input to project managers for proposals and provide project status reports.
Conduct geospatial data analysis and modeling in a geodatabase.
Available for domestic and international travel as required.
Perform other duties as required.
| | | | | Job Requirements | Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor of Science degree in Geographic Information Systems, Computer Science or related discipline
One-three years geodatabase (ESRI) experience
Three to five years GIS (ESRI) related experience
Direct experience with Federal Spatial Data Standards (SDSFIE)
Advanced level with ArcGIS Desktop, ArcIMS and ArcSDE
Knowledge of ArcINFO and ArcPad
Advanced level with Microsoft Office
Solid understanding of relational database management systems
Basic understanding of computer programming techniques
Advanced analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to make sound, independent judgments within established policies and procedures
Professional written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively
Customer service skills and/or strong interpersonal skills
Candidates will be subject to a government background investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information. U.S. Citizenship is required.
