| | | | Job Description | Remote Sensing Analyst Positions (Multiple Levels Available)
We have multiple opportunities for Remote Sensing Analysts, ranging from Entry Level to Senior Level. The Remote Sensing Analysts will primarily be responsible for satellite image interpretation. These positions will work in a team environment using state-of-the-art remote sensing and GIS technology to produce land cover and land cover change products.
The successful candidate will be able to “hit the ground running” and work well in a time-sensitive, team oriented environment.
Essential Job Functions
* Interpretation of satellite imagery
* Categorization of land cover and land cover change
* Image modeling
* Workflow development and refinement
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in physical or earth sciences with college experience, and or 1-2 years professional experience for Entry level Remote Sensing Analyst level.
* Bachelor’s degree in physical or earth sciences with 2-3 years professional experience for Mid-level Remote Sensing Analyst level position.
* Master’s degree in physical or earth sciences 3-5 years professional experience for Senior level Remote Sensing Analyst positions.
* Must have experience and/or in-depth knowledge of one or more of the following image processing programs (depending on position level): ERDAS, ENVI, or PCI.
* Experience with image classifications techniques such as Unsupervised/Supervised, Classification and Regression Tree (CART)
* Must be a U.S. Citizen
* Must be eligible for a U.S. Security Clearance
