GIS Developer

Description
• Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years experience in the application of GIS solutions with knowledge of telecommunication and/or wireless industries.
• Must be organized, adaptable and dependable; have the aptitude and ability to work in a fast paced, highly technical environment with frequently changing systems and processes.
• Requires a high knowledge of business practices, computer systems, GIS/GPS technologies, and specialized GIS data and system applications.
• Develops, organizes and maintains GIS databases and projects.
• Establishes and maintains GIS accuracy and mapping standards.
• Provides GIS/GPS training and data access to supervisors, managers, associates and field crews.
• Interfaces with GIS users, or potential users, in other departments to promote GIS compatibility and continuity.
• An undergraduate degree is required in computer science, geographic information systems or related field, master's degree in GIS is preferred.
 
Job Requirements
Requirements
• 4+ years experience with MapInfo application, SDK's and MapBasic
• 4+ years experience in developing, deploying and administering applications using JAVA or .Net
• 3+ years experience working with Oracle Spatial or similar spatial database
• 3+ years experience developing web-based GIS applications
• 2-4 years experience in writing PL/SQL to optimize spatial geo functions
• 2+ years experience in the Telecom Wireless industry, developing GIS applications
• Ability to perform some analyst-level tasks, such as mapping, analysis and data tasks
• Works well in a team environment
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
