| | | | Job Description | Resource Data, Inc. (RDI) is an information technology company specializing in GIS services and custom software analysis, design and development. We have offices in Alaska, Idaho and Texas. Our reputation is based on the successful completion of projects throughout the United States and around the world. In our 23 year history, RDI has grown to employ over 100 professionals and is known as a leader in GIS technologies and systems.
We are looking for talented GIS Programmer/Analysts to join our strong team providing support for BP on the Gulf Oil Spill Response in their incident command center in Houma, LA.
The work is very technical and fast paced. We need people highly skilled in tools such as:
• Strong geodata and cartographic skills
• Strong experience with ESRI GIS software such as ArcGIS and ArcGIS Server
• Data management experience
• Database/SDE admin skills
• Experience using .Net and/or Flex technologies
• Database design and development skills; experience with SDE is beneficial
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Specifically, we have an immediate need for:
• Cartographers
• GIS analysts
• Data management staff
• GIS developers
• SDE administrators
Shifts are 12 hours per day, 7 days a week, and we can accommodate a variety of schedules including 14 days on and 5 days off, as well as 14 on and 14 off. This can be a long term opportunity within RDI, or it can be viewed as a short term commitment depending on the individual’s skills and desires. For shorter durations, we would ask for a minimum commitment of at least three shifts onsite.
