| | | | Job Description | POSITION:
GIS Analyst position (Research Associate II Special) available with the Center for Environmental Management of Military Lands, to be assigned at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. Position is contingent on the availability of funding for GIS efforts at Fort Leonard Wood.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform duties associated with the management of ITAM Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Function as part of the ITAM contractor team. Create and update required GIS data layers, manage databases, collect field data (GPS), digitize and rectify aerial photography, and perform remote sensing analyses. Create maps and conduct database analyses in support of ITAM projects. Provide GIS products and information for reports and presentations, map development and production. position contingent upon funding.
SALARY: Commensurate with experience and qualifications. Range $48,000-$54,000

| | | | | Job Requirements | MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
BS/BA degree in geography or natural resources with Geographic Information System (GIS) emphasis, closely related field, or GIS certification. Three years of post-graduate work experience in GIS. Ability to do field work on uneven terrain under extreme weather conditions. Must have, or be able to obtain, a valid driver’s license and have the ability to drive 4WD vehicle on rough roads. CSU conducts a background check on all final candidates.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS IN ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:
Demonstrated knowledge of ArcGIS 9.x software. Demonstrated skills in GIS database development, ArcGIS GEODatabase, and experience with Enterprise GIS. Demonstrated experience working with GIS applications in natural resources management, digital cartography, and GPS. Knowledge of Army/DoD GIS procedures and SDSFIE spatial standards. Experience working in highly structured organizations such as governmental agencies, the military, and corporations. Program and project management experience. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
