| | | | Job Description | The right candidate must be passionate about developing and delivering end-user web applications using server-side Java.
About You
* You’re known as a jive SBS & Java expert and have a solid background in server-side application design and implementation.
* You’re incredibly detail oriented and aren’t happy with sloppy code.
* You’re positive and team-oriented.
* You thrive on helping teammates and teaching them new things.
* You work well in a fast-paced environment and thrive on challenges.
* You enjoy using open-source frameworks and the latest tools.
Responsibilities
* Design and develop new features and enhancements for Jive communities
* Enhance our test suite with new unit and functional test; assist the support team in resolving issues in customer deployments.
* Work closely with other members of the engineering team.
* Talk to customers about new features and enhancements, participate in user testing.
Required Skills and Experience
* Ability to focus on delivering great features and great products to the customer.
* You must be passionate. You have to love building great software and love seeing it used in great ways.
* You’re highly self-motivated. We’re looking for someone who doesn't require supervision and is capable of setting their own priorities.
* Solid background in server-side Java and expert knowledge of the language.
* You're experienced with large scale data storage and processing.
* You have solid experience with SQL and large scale databases.
* You've worked with and have a firm understanding of Spring.
* You have solid OO design and experience implementing effective patterns.
* You have to be open to a variety of techniques to solve problems and design solutions to work well on all types of platforms.
