| | | | Job Description | Candidates for the GIS web application developer position should possess a degree in GIS, information systems, or a related discipline. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated work experience building web based GIS applications and services using ArcGIS Server. The successful candidate will possess the following attributes and skills:
• Experience developing web-based GIS software application using ESRI's ArcGIS and SDE, specifically ArcGIS Server and/or ArcObjects
• .Net development experience using VS 2005 and greater
• Experience in C#.Net, ASP.Net, Adobe Flex and or Silverlight
• Experience in developing windows and web applications and services
• Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
• Proficient with relational databases (e.g. SQL Server and Oracle)
• Good organizational skills, ability to thrive in a fast paced, high-pressure, challenging work environment
• Excellent at problem solving skills.
• Ability to very quickly understand new concepts and adapt to new technologies
Experience with the Microsoft SharePoint platform is highly desirable but not required.
