To enable our business to expand our lead in a market increasingly enhanced by technology, Waste Management, Inc. is undertaking a substantial technology transformation. We are seeking talented Information Technology Professionals to join the Waste Management corporate IT team and participate in this ongoing effort.

Waste Management is seeking an energetic; senior-level ESRI Developer who is motivated to help us transform the way technology is used. This position is responsible for combining technical expertise with business intelligence to enable GIS solutions in an effort to align information technology solutions with Waste Management business strategy.

This position requires a focused, high-energy individual with a proven background in GIS development and ESRI products.

Key Roles & Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain internal customer facing GIS Web applications through concept, design, and implementation phases to consume new web enabled GIS functionalities, using the latest relevant techniques and best practices.
Work with existing design templates to maintain corporate architecture and implementation standards.
Work closely with other developers to design and develop software components for the management, manipulation, and display of a wide variety of graphic and image data.
Assist in bringing excellent software via a web browser.
Create software components that follow industry-standard design patterns, development methodologies, and deployment models.

Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.

Education and Experience

Required: Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience, in Computer Science, MIS, Business Administration or similar area of study and six to nine years of previous experience.

Preferred: Master's Degree.

Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities
Required:
5+ years of experience with web GIS design and implementation.
Strong .NET / Silverlight experience (Silverlight 3.0 preferred).
Expertise with Microsoft technology (.NET, C#, WCF, ASP.NET/AJAX).
Experience developing Web applications using ArcGIS application programming interfaces (API's).
Understanding and implementation experience of SOA (Service oriented Architecture).
Experience with Enterprise applications architecture and design.
Must be flexible and willing to undertake a wide variety of challenging tasks.
Ability to present information, analysis, ideas, and positions in a clear and convincing manner to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and anticipate needs along with ability to operate and promote an environment of teamwork.
Strong organization skills, ownership and accountability.
Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
Preferred:
Knowledge on other GIS platforms such as MapInfo, Geoserver, etc.
Knowledge with Microsoft Bing Maps and Google Maps.
Experience in the Transportation and/or Routing and Logistics industries.
