| | | | Job Description | Senior Enterprise Architect will be part of a multi-disciplined team that will support a large federal agency’s EA program.
- A key responsibility will be to develop and maintain Segment Architectures and related plans and to provide specialized knowledge and support based on knowledge of the Federal Segment Architecture Methodology, (FSAM), segment information, and OMB guidance.
- With other staff, prepare and provide OMB Segment Architecture (EASR) submissions. Ensure deliverables meet OMB requirements and Department Program Management acceptance.
- Assist in the development of a consolidated transition plan for the entire Department.
- Support the Chief Architect with the development of a multi-year EA Program plan that addresses short term, mid-term, and long-term goals and objectives.
- Under the direction of Chief Architect or other senior IT managers, respond to inquiries and data calls from various agencies and bureaus including but not limited to OMB, GAO and the Inspector General (IG).
- Provide other general support in the form of analyses, reviews, and assessments based on the current needs of the Chief Architect, Associate CIO, CIO or other senior IT managers.
| | | | | Job Requirements | - Bachelor's degree.
- 8-12 years solid experience in the IT industry, with hands-on technical experience in programming, systems analysis, systems development, database administration, or other relevant IT experience.
- 3-5 years solid Enterprise Architecture experience, with specific and recent work with, and understanding of, Federal Enterprise Architecture. Must be familiar with concepts unique to the federal government’s EA program, including FEA reference models, segment architectures, OMB EA maturity framework, and FSAM.
- Strong specific knowledge and hands-on experience with FSAM and segment architecture development is highly desired.
- Hands-on experience with EA repositories and products is a plus.
- A solid mix of technology and business experience with a good understanding of EA’s role supporting information technology planning and management processes in the larger context of the federal government’s statutory asset management initiatives (GPRA, Clinger-Cohen, PMA, etc.).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels including executive management, internal stakeholders and external customers.
