| | | | Job Description | Full time Application Developer position for a large, financially stable, international engineering and environmental consulting firm. The Application Developer works on various projects using skills that span multiple disciplines to produce custom solutions. Required activities include programming web-based and desktop applications, data modelling and database maintenance, and support to our internal and external clients.
Accountabilities
· Application design and planning
· Requirements documentation
· Provide technical support to a project team
· Adherence to schedule and budget
· Provide technical writing to support proposal efforts and project documentation
Skills
· 1-3 years .NET, ASP.net, Visual Basic or C# experience required
· Experience design and programming Web, Database and Desktop applications
· 1-3 years developing against relational databases such as MS SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL desired
· ArcObjects Programming experience is a plus
Qualifications
· Real world application development skills (non-academic)
· Thorough knowledge of the SDLC
· Ability to solve complex problems in a fast paced environment
· Reliability, strong work ethic, and ability to work in a team-oriented environment are a must
· Successful candidates will have an energetic and positive attitude toward working with multiple clients on a wide-range of environmental projects
