| | | | Job Description | | Performs highly complex (senior-level) geographic information system work. Work involves coordinating the input and manipulation of geographic information to create, maintain, display, update, and produce accurate maps; designs, tests, and develops software programs that utilize GIS data. May supervise the work of others. Works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. | | | | | Job Requirements | | Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in computer science, computer information systems, geography, geographic information systems technology, management information systems, or a related field plus three years of experience working with geographic information systems analysis and design work. One additional year of full-time qualifying experience may be substituted for each 30 semester hours of the required college work. | |
