Essential Functions
Participates on large, complex projects
Conducts design reviews and presentations
Develops and approves systems architecture, specifications and executes test plans
Maintains and/or constructs programs independently
Team lead for technical employees
Provides leadership and assistance to assistant programmers, programmers and senior programmers
Primary contact with client, works towards a high level of knowledge of client’s business
Creates documentation
Responsible for unit testing, participates in systems level testing
Provides 24/hr/7 day support as directed

Required Skills and Experience
8+ years information technology experience in programming and analysis, demonstrating high degree of technical expertise
3 years experience with ArcGIS Server (and its APIs) and ArcSDE
Broad knowledge of ESRI products with 3 years experience with ArcGIS desktop applications
Knowledge of designing and implementing geodatabases
Knowledge of Python and other scripting languages
Background in data automation
Strong HTML and web application design experience; Experience with Silverlight a real plus
Solid understanding of relational database concept; SQL and lightweight DBA experience desirable
Knowledge of project management and emerging technology, with ability to open up new technical areas
Ability to maintain and/or construct programs independently
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Understanding of customer needs and ability to translate into technological need
Ability to conduct presentations to all levels of management | |
