MDA Information Systems, Inc. is seeking a Technical Director for its RADAR Products & Services program.
General Summary
The Director, RADAR Products and Services is responsible for implementing, as well as assisting in the business development of the Synthetic Aperture RADAR (SAR) processing product line. This position reports to the Vice President, Geospatial Solutions and works directly with senior management at MDA Information Systems, Inc. and the developer/operator of RADARSAT-2 at the MDA Corporate offices in Canada.
Essential Job Functions
* Create and assists with implementing business development plan for SAR processing product line
* Serve as the technical lead for processing RADARSAT-2 data and products
* Assist in marketing RADARSAT-2 products to potential US DoD/IC, civil and commercial clients
* Assemble and direct a team of remote sensing scientists with SAR experience to process RADARSAT-2 data and products
* Communicates between RADAR team and customers
* Coordinate with MDA’s Geospatial Services International in Canada on SAR products and processing
* Apply MDA SAR technology to applications for US DoD/IC
* Network with current and potential clients, teaming partners, and leaders in the SAR field
* Additional duties as assigned
Required Skills/Knowledge:
* Knowledge of SAR technologies including SAR processing and interferometric SAR processing
* Extensive knowledge of signal processing theory, processing algorithm, SAR techniques and software development
* Ability to gain working knowledge of existing technology developed by MDA in Canada
* Assist creating, maintaining and leveraging working relationships with internal and external customers
* Excellent presentation and written communication skills
* Knowledge of GAMMA, ERDAS IMAGINE, ENVI, PCI or ArcGIS
Required Education and Experience
* Bachelor’s degree
* Minimum of 5 years experience with SAR processing
Required Security Clearance
* Active TS/SCI security clearance
Travel Requirements
* Extensive local travel required
* Periodic travel required to attend industry conferences
* Travel required to attend technical meetings with RADAR team in Canada
Supervisory Responsibilities
* Develop and lead SAR processing team
