| | | | Job Description | | SDI has opportunities for Geospatial Analysts to use their knowledge of database design and development to support SDI customers in the construction and implementation of GIS databases, applications and production systems. | | | | | Job Requirements | Summary of essential job functions
· Develop, acquire, convert and analyze GIS data.
· Communicate with peers, managers and others to gather and/or share potential GIS information and/or procedures involved to implement a successful deliverable to the client.
· Maintain knowledge of GIS industry news and developments.
· Perform other pertinent and relevant duties as required.
Minimum requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science or related discipline
· ArcGIS Course work or equivalent work experience.
· Knowledge of the theory, principles and concepts of GIS.
· Two or more years working with ESRI software and/or related service.
Abilities required
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· High energy, ability to self motivate, and ability to multi-task in a detail-oriented environment.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
· Ability to establish and build relationships quickly with all levels of management.
· Ability to communicate data and procedural discrepancies to management and peers
· Ability to perform basic and advanced processing tasks using ArcGIS and other ESRI products and extensions
· Experience with data conversion, data migration and familiarity with advanced data development techniques.
· Knowledge of Microsoft Office and other desktop publishing software.
· Must be a U.S. citizen. | | |
