1) Standard DBA skills
a. Adding / Removing Users
b. A good understanding of Schemas in SQL Server 2005
c. A good understanding of DB roles
d. A good understanding of DB security best practices
2) GIS Skills
a. Understanding of ArcSDE 9.2
b. Understanding of how to manage spatial data and how it differs from relational data
c. Understanding of ESRI DB security
d. Knowledge of ESRI products and how they interact with the spatial SDE DB
3) Communication Skills
a. Spoken - Ability to clearly communicate with a variety of customers
