| | | | Job Description | Sequence is currently seeking a GIS Developer to work on a series of projects revolving around Southern California’s Power, Utilities and Infrastructure systems.
The ideal individual would have at least 5+ years’ experience in the design, development and use of GIS software systems for energy and natural resources projects. Must have hands-on experience in building cutting-edge GIS Software systems, developing system architectures, database structure design, and internet access points for 2D and 3D visualization and spatial analysis systems.
Responsibilities will include the design and implementation of an efficient data storage framework, integrating geocoding engines with other existing systems, writing, debugging and maintaining software code. This will also include managing other engineers and programmers in the effective development of an extensive GIS system.
Requires a degree in Computer Science, Natural Resources or related discipline. Must have a clear understanding of GIS programming (C/C++, Windows, Unix, Linux), familiarity with Ruby on Rails, APO’s, unicode and workflow design, and system scalabilities.
Located in Orange County.
