| | | | | | | Job Description | Upcoming GIS Position:
Resource needed with strong ESRI experience w/ArcGIS server architecting and implementing in an Enterprise system. Also .NET experience is required. Resource will assist in the developing, coordinating, implementing and administering an Enterprise GIS as it relates to the program requirements. Work with Project Manager and Business Manager to review existing system requirements, recommend GIS software and hardware configurations and complete a project plan to implement a development environment at BIT.
Tasks to be accomplished:
- Review existing system requirements pertaining to GIS functions
- Make recommendations for hardware and network specifications; meet with and coordinate hardware and software deployments with BIT server team
- Develop a project plan for installation, configuration, and testing of GIS software products in a development environment
- Install, configure, and document GIS software applications to meet system requirements
- Conduct test scenarios for application/system validation of function
- Provide weekly status updates to Project Manager
- Conduct knowledge transfer to staff for management and maintenance of GIS software

Experience in Development & Deploying ESRI Server Applications on SQL/Server Databases � 5 yrs
ArcGIS Server architecting and implementing exp in an Enterprise system - 5 yrs
Experience on VB.Net � 2 yrs
Experience on ASP.Net � 2 yrs
Excellent communication skills, both verbally & written
Proficient in documenting process, procedures, & requirements
Strong analytical & problem solving skills
Desired skills
Application architecture & advanced programming experience
PMP Certification
