| | | | Job Description | Assists water resources, water/wastewater utility modeling and master plans, site selection / routing studies, implementation consulting, asset management, facility integrity studies, etc.
Responsible for the design, development and implementation of moderately complex GIS processes including: data analysis, manipulation, mapping, and GIS application solutions.
Helps coordinate GIS activities with clients, project engineers, regional offices and other analysts.
Assist in developing standards and automated processes through project work.
Ensures compliance with requirements of accuracy / specifications for scope of service and quality.
Works with project team to prepare proposals, technical papers, presentations, reports and implementation plans; define GIS application strategies; and to develop detailed project deliverables.
This position could also be filled in Charlotte, NC or Kansas City, MO. Other B&V office locations may also be considered.
| | | | | Job Requirements | Minimum Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of experience performing science related activities.
Preferred Job Qualifications Degree in GIS related field or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 5 years of GIS experience in a dynamic and diverse GIS analysis environment.
Must have technical experience in: 1) GIS support of water distribution or wastewater collection system modeling (including building geometric networks), or 2) GIS integration with Asset Mgmt, CMMS, CIS, WOM, SCADA, etc.
Must be proficient with ESRI ArcGIS suite of applications and extensions, database management (including geodatabase), and Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent time / data management, communication, and interpersonal skills required.
Experience developing, monitoring, and managing project deliverables, budgets, and schedules.
Enthusiastic about learning, pushing technical limits, and finding new solutions.
Experience with the following is considered advantageous:
Familiarity with GIS components of hydraulic modeling tools (such as InfoWater, InfoWorks, InfoNet, WaterGEMS, H2OMAP, etc.).
Familiarity with Asset Management / Work Order applications (such as GBA Master Series, CityWorks, Cartegraph, DataStream, Hansen, etc.).
Knowledge of ArcSDE, ArcGIS Server, SQL Server, Oracle, Model Builder, Python, or similar.
Familiarity of AutoCAD or MicroStation and conversion to/from GIS.
GIS consulting, implementation, and coordination skills.
Sharing project work between multiple offices.
