| | | | Job Description | The GIS Programmer Analyst will develop, document, and support ESRI applications such as
ArcObjects, ArcPad, ArcIMS, ArcSDE (SQL Server), and ArcGIS Server. Additional
responsibilities include developing and supporting custom .Net applications, and performing
SQLServer DBA duties. A high degree of proficiency in Microsoft development toolsets, such
as VB, ASP.Net, SQLServer, is required. Certifications in any or all of the above are highly
valued.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide application support for ESRI ArcGIS
Perform hands-on GIS application design, programming, implementation, and support for
GIS
applications with emphasis on Internet mapping applications and tools.
Develop and implement desktop and web-based GIS application
Perform complex hands-on integrated programming, data analysis, and application
development including maintenance and future enhancements of existing systems.
Envision, design, and develop custom .Net and VB utilities to support these applications
Perform SQL Server DBA duties across all applications for performance, availability and | | | | | Job Requirements | 3 years ArcSDE administration experience
Experience with ArcGIS editing and cartographic standards
Working experience with ArcObjects
3-5 years of ASP.Net & IIS experience, certification preferred
Experience supporting VB 6.0 application
Strong written and verbal communication skills needed and an ability to work with
clients
Excellent problem-solving, design, development, and debugging skills
Computer science degree preferred
JavaScript toolkits, or AJAX experience a plus | |
