| | | | Job Description | This position will be a web developer for programming and implementing integrated field, desktop and web applications providing support principally to environmental,ecological, archaeological, planning and engineering groups in the Baton Rouge office.
This position will be part of existing ESRI-based GIS group, web developers and database programmers consisting of 11 people.
Job will entail the web development of specific project related tasks relating to transportation, pipeline, industrial sites, cultural resource locations and ecological sites. Will provide web programming support for ArcMobile field, ArcServer and HTML-based web applications.
This position reports to the GIS Manager under the supervision of the GIS Developer and a GIS Programmer and will largely interact internally with GIS staff and other URS project managers for overall project web needs and internal kick off meetings.
| | | | | Job Requirements | Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, GIS or related field.
5 years of experience in the design and development of GIS web applications using ESRI's ArcGIS Server technologies, application development utilizing Microsoft Visual Studio, JavaScript, XHTML, and ASP.NET. Relational database design and programming experience utilizing SQL Server is required.
Must have experience utilizing ArcServer web developer for programming and implementing field, desktop and web applications.
Must have the ability to work independently, yet within a framework that benefits the overall mission of developing a sound, professional GIS practice of quality services and innovative solutions. | | |
