3+ years experience leading IT project teams in both new development and on-going operations
3+ years direct experience with leading GIS project teams using ESRI software
Experience in the electric utility industry is desired
Strong verbal and written communications skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills
Strong project management skills
Ability to guide a team in organizing, planning, and executing projects through all phases of the IT Product life cycle
Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
Ability to work well on cross-functional project teams and foster team commitment to tasks
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline and equivalent work experience and technical training, is required
Typically requires a minimum of 3 years senior level experience in business applications.
Responsibilities:
70% Lead a project team of software developers, software component architects, and integration consultants by providing expertise within an assigned business unit/area, in analysis, design, and development of business applications integration solutions
Identify conflicting business practices and integration issues and suggest alternative solutions
Collect and analyze business requirements for multifunctional projects
Work with existing integration teams to ensure technical consistency and governance for developing integration solutions
Perform feasibility studies and facilitate requirements into an appropriate design
20% Develop business relationships and integrate activities with other IT departments to ensure successful implementation and support of project efforts
Foster and maintain good relationships with customers and IT colleagues to expected customer service levels
10% Act as an internal consultant; provide technical guidance or business pro
