| | | | Job Description | The Photogrammetry Technical Lead will complete advanced photogrammetry, LiDAR and GIS tasks in a production environment for a rapidly growing remote sensing company. The successful candidate will be a solutions-oriented self starter with an in-depth understanding of industry-standard production processes and software. Candidates possessing basic supervisory and organizational skills to manage production teams are preferred. A strong commitment to quality will be required to succeed in this position.
The person in this position will be responsible for the technical and administrative management of the Digital Ortho Discipline. This is a production / coordinator position and the successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 to 3 years of production experience. Specific administrative responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assisting the Discipline Lead in developing efficient technical strategies and alternative solutions for the successful completion of projects, providing input into the proposal generation process, completing project estimates, identifying resource and equipment needs, providing technical guidance to staff, monitoring staff productivity and quality, coordinating with Discipline Leads and Project Managers. | | | | | Job Requirements | Provides production level data processing, data translations and technical support
Completes automated and hand filtering of LiDAR data
Provides quality control for triangulation, compilation, LiDAR filtering and GIS data processing tasks
Provides administrative support to Discipline Lead in the form of project tracking, schedule monitoring, productivity assessments, and quality documentation
Assists technicians in the performance of tasks
Provides training and cross-training of staff
Tests software and makes recommendations for modifications
Assists in the development of efficient production processes
Metadata development
Other duties as assigned
Specific knowledge and technical experience with large-scale photogrammetric mapping and/or LIDAR data processing
Knowledge of Microstation, AutoCad, FME, ArcGIS and extensions preferred
Digital ortho-imagery production knowledge preferred | | |
