| | | | Job Description | Animas Geographic Technology Inc. (AGT) is a Colorado-based provider of geographic information system services. We serve a diverse client base ranging from small private-sector companies to large federal
government agencies. We are an ESRI business partner with expertise in custom development and deployment of ArcGIS, ArcPad, ArcIMS, and ArcSDE. Services include geodatabase implementation,
custom application development, custom cartography, data collection, needs assessment, implementation

AGT has a career opportunity for a GIS Technician to work as a member of our team in Durango, CO. We are seeking a candidate who can begin immediately.
Duties and Responsibilities:
This individual will provide technical support in GIS and GPS technologies to both staff and clients. The ideal candidate will have a background in GIS, geography, computer science, or a related field.
• Provides GIS and GPS support for staff, partners, and clients.
• GPS data collection and post processing
• Develops hard copy and digital maps
• Performs edits to and analysis on spatial data sets
• Performs analysis on spatial data sets
• Analyzes problems and develops creative solutions with minimal guidance.
• Works within a team to promote AGT’s business objectives.
Requirements:
• Excellent communication skills
• Basic understanding of GIS concepts
• Proficiency with ESRI ArcView software (tabular queries, spatial queries, spatial analysis, editing,
cartographic output)
• Basic understanding of relational database structure and design
• Proficiency with windows-based computing environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software
• Petroleum business experience is a plus
• Application development experience is a plus
• Must have a valid driver’s license for the state of residency
• Must comply with AGT’s Health and Safety policies and procedures
