| | | | Job Description | I. Services
The GIS Analyst will perform the following services and support for Client’s
Technology department:
1. Gather Information from various sources to create GIS layers for various GIS programs. This includes mapping, personal geodatabase creation, exporting and projection the GIS data
2. Re-projectiong raster data (Aerial photos) mosaic multiple Aerial photo tiles by each community. Data conversion and QC/QA of rectified photos and mosaiced Imagery.
3. Tuning the SDE Database Administration, creating tiles and grids to tune up all features class that has more than 10,000 features
4. GIS Database Administration, creating services and maintaining Vector data and GB of Raster data in ArcSDE 8.3 Geodatabase
5. Installation of ArcSDE 8.3, ArcGIS 8.3, Arc info Workstation and SQL Server on development and production environment
6. Create and Analyze the GIS data, database design, project and clean the raster and vector data to load into SDE database.
7. Analyze Client’s GIS requests and develop interfaces to extract data, mapping and hardcopy prints.
8. Automate the manual process by Analyzing and Developing interfaces to allow access to GIS environment using Arc Objects, Visual Basic, Arc Macro
9. Other duties, as assigned
| | | | | Job Requirements | II. Experience Requirement
a) At least 4 years of recent professional experience with GIS
b) At least 4 years of recent professional experience with ESRI tools
c) At least 1 year of recent professional experience with ARCSDE
d) Ability to work independently and in team environment under pressure, and be able to prioritize the workload.
e) Good communication skills
III. Educational Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or similar discipline from a recognized college or university.
