Description:
Proxix Solutions, a wholly owned subsidiary of First American Real Estate Spatial Solutions, is a rapidly growing company that specializes in developing and implementing local intelligence solutions. Proxix software and database solutions add location data to enterprise applications to deliver actionable information for decision support. The seeker of this job will work in our Boulder, Colorado office and interact with the sales and development teams of Proxix to design and implement the next generation of these applications and databases.
Essential Duties:
- Contribute to full life-cycle application and API library development including user requirements, specifications, design, coding, testing, documentation, etc.
- Design, develop and maintain core algorithms for spatial analysis, database operations, and other GIS functions.
- Assist with design documentation.
- Contribute to system documentation for applications and databases. | | | | | Job Requirements | Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Degree in Engineering, Physics, or Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2-5 years experience in applications development
- Strong knowledge of C++
- Knowledge of an object oriented language (Java or C#)
- Basic database and SQL skills
- Basic scripting language skills a plus
- Good communication skills
- Must display high integrity, initiative and be a proactive thinker
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines
- Must be goal oriented, self-motivated, and have excellent problem solving and decision-making skills
- Possess a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Positive team player with a great work ethic and the ability to work independently
