Job Description
Skelly and Loy, Inc. is seeking a highly-motivated individual for our GIS group. If you are looking for new and challenging ways to apply the latest GIS technology come join our team. Our GIS analyst have the opportunity to be involved in multi-discipline projects while developing diverse skill sets working with our company's environmental and engineering experts.
 
Job Requirements
RESPONSIBILITIES
• GIS Data Compilation, data analysis, and mapping in support of community and transportation planning, watershed management, and environmental impact assessment documents, environmental site investigation, characterization and remediation, reports and numerous other engineering project activities.
• Perform technical studies, data collection, analysis and interpretation related to transportation corridor studies and environmental analysis, watershed management investigations, community/regional planning, and other natural/cultural resources investigations.
• Participate in public involvement and agency coordination activities. Function as a member of a multi-disciplinary project team.
• Utilize GIS analyses to assist other professionals in performing project activities.
• Assist in the marketing of environmental and engineering projects with emphasis on GIS services.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND SKILLS
• B.S. Degree or better in Environmental Science, Planning, Geography, Earth Science, or related field.
• Individual must have experience using GIS analysis and mapping software to support environmental and engineering projects.
• Experience in spatial analysis and the preparation of documents related to planning and/or NEPA compliance.
• A minimum of 3 years experience using ESRI ArcGIS to support environmental planning and analysis.
• Strong written and oral communications skills required.

DESIRED SKILLS
• GIS application development and GPS experience a plus.
• Experience with an environmental/engineering consulting firm preferred.
