Role Overview
Amec Foster Wheeler Environment & Infrastructure is currently seeking a CAD/GIS Technician in Fresno, CA to perform CAD/GIS and occasionally related field data collection tasks.

Key Responsibilities
Supporting Geology/ Engineering/Scientist Staff with graphics and design details required to support document deliverables for client and/or regulatory agencies. Includes developing and maintaining Geo-databases for GIS-related projects, linking SQL and database tables to support GIS applications, and managing and manipulating data within the Geo-database and external data sources (SQL and Access).
Job Requirements
Role Requirements •Minimum 3 to 5 years of GIS experience;
•Minimum 3 to 5 years of CAD experience, preferred;
•AS in CAD or GIS, or related field;
•Proficiency using AutoCAD;
•Knowledge of online data resources;
•Knowledge of scripting languages (UBA, Python, etc.);
•Proficiency using ESRI suite of software;
•Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint);
•Familiarity with SQL and Access is desired;
•Experience in producing high-quality digital and hardcopy maps and project graphics;
•Strong written and verbal communication skills; and
•Resourceful and self-motivated.
Candidate must be able to:•Perform routine CAD and GIS related data maintenance tasks utilizing AutoCAD and ESRI based applications;
•Perform various GIS functions; i.e., perform queries, create maps, etc.;
•Perform routine data collection tasks associated capturing or updating CAD floor plans, capture of GIS data associated with Space Utilization and other GIS data requirements utilizing digital data collection devices, PC tablets, and GPS methods;
•Perform CAD/GIS data layer development, qualitative/quantitative analysis, and mapping;
•Produce detailed, high-quality cartographic products (digital and hardcopy) and accompanying reports in accordance with technical guidelines and client needs;
•Communicate with project team members and other stakeholders to define data needs, project requirements, and desired outputs;
•Compile, manipulate, and refine geographic data from a variety of sources including but not limited to, field observation, digital aerial photographs, existing maps, and online data sources;
•Perform regular quality control checks of GIS Data and non-spatial databases with minimal supervision to ensure data integrity; and
•Under minimal supervision manage project tasks related to CAD/GIS assignments.
