Applications Systems Analyst / GIS Programmer

General Duties:
ArcIMS Programmer responsible for providing GIS database and web application development and maintenance to assist with the development of an Enterprise Architecture for GIS.Incorporate 3D exploration in ArcIMS, incorporate the capability to display live and near real time data feeds in ArcIMS, setup, maintenance, and tuning of ArcIMS., Provide training support to include an evaluation of system performance, familiarization training, and documentation development for a user manual as needed. Also includes support for upgrades for new versions of the commercial software. Manage ArcIMS applications in .NET and ASP, on a multi-server environment. Setup and manage clients' GIS data. Install new client sites and tailor them to the clients' needs, coordinating with the R&D team (GIS developers, web designers, testing, and potentially software engineers), project management, sales people, and customers. | | | | | Job Requirements | Job Qualifications:
MUST BE A US CITIZEN IN ORDER TO APPLY
Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems, management information systems or 4 years practical experience with GIS in ArcIMS Programming and 2+ years of experience with ArcIMS, including debugging ArcIMS applications and 1+ years experience with ArcSDE and SQL Servers. Complete understanding of HTML and ArcXML a must. Requires experience with ASP (Active Server Pages) & ASP.NET. Experience with XML a plus. ArcIMS Programming skills to include:, Design, and develop custom ArcIMS pages, implement security controls in Arc IMS.
Security Clearance:
Must be able to obtain a SECRET clearance
Physical demands associated with this position:
Must be able to drive a personal vehicle within a 100 mile radius.
