Delineated swamp rabbit habitats for Western Kentucky analysis project. Duties included delineating flood plains from National Wetlands Inventory (NWI) maps at 1:24,000 scale, digitizing flood plains using ArcInfo and ArcEDIT using a Calcomp 9100 digitizing table. Collected and converted feature information from TIGER line files for approximately 60 counties in Western Kentucky using ArcInfo. Used LIBRARIAN commands to store all extents of National Wetlands Inventory (NWI) maps into a single database, stored the digitized wetlands data in individual map sheet using LIBRARIAN database tools. Created and used AML scripts to accomplish specific tasks using ArcInfo software on a IBM RISC-6000 workstation.

Managed the daily collection of housing data and land use and land cover data as part of a two-person crew for three county comprehensive plans (Simpson 1991, Logan 1991, Hopkins 1992) including major cities for each county and one city comprehensive plan (Glasgow 1992). Compiled collected data to produce new maps from air photos, field maps, and notes. Created new maps by digitizing on a Calcomp 9100 series and Summa Graphics series digitizing board using PC ArcInfo and Atlas*GIS software. Created new databases for maps by using dBase III+ software package. Used cartographic techniques and skills to design, develop, and produce new maps with PC ArcInfo and Atlas*GIS software for publications using a Calcomp 1024 8 pen plotter and a HP LaserJet II printer.
