| | | | Other Information | My leadership training in the U.S. Army Infantry, my work experience, and my recently completed bachelor’s degree in geography makes me a strong candidate for a position with your company.
I recently graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a degree in Geography, where I was a member of the Geo Science Club and concentrated on geographic techniques (Cartography, GIS, etc.).
Although a recent graduate, I am not a typical new graduate. I served my country in the United States Army. I've worked throughout my life in several fields including a position as a shipping manager and in an office environment. I consider myself a knowledgeable and self-disciplined person. I am a very reliable and driven person. I have been accepted into NW Missouri State. I will pursue their Master’s of Science in Geographic Information Science (100% Online). I am a family oriented person. I have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, etc.
I feel that I have the maturity, skills, and abilities to embark on a career for your company and I am open to further relocation.
My goal one day is to create Geographical Information Systems; my bachelor's degree is in Geography with a healthy dose of geographic information systems. I concentrated in geographic techniques. I am learning not only the skills needed for GIS today, but am also learning about the potential of tomorrow.
In order to be prepared for tomorrow's new technology, I am also rounding out my education with courses in geographic information science starting this fall as I will attend NW Missouri State's online program in pursuit of a M.S. in GIScience. I want to not only understand the technical elements of GIS, but be prepared to help the industry fit into the always changing landscape of society.
