| Senior GIS Application Developer | Griphens Technologies | | Jan 2006- July 2007 | Rawalpindi, Pakistan | I was involved in analysis, Design and
Development of a GIS product for one of
Griphens Clients. This project consisted of
digitizing maps from varying sources and
scales and we compiled them into a single
project map spanning the User Defined
Territory. The map was used to aid Parcel
based land management Information System.
Different Utilities were written in VBA (with the
help of ArcObjects) to automate the data entry
process of spatial data. My key
responsibilities were
• Interacting with the client and gathering User
requirements
• Refining User requirements and extracting
design elements for development
• Creating/Acquiring Data according to the
clients needs
• Developing Customized Application with Arc
Objects for Desktop
• Preparing and Conducting User training
Programs for GIS Application | | GIS Application Developer | MIT Soft | | December 2001 - January 2006 | House No. 107, St No. 110, G 11/3, Islamaba | I worked as a senior member of a team (from
Dec 2001 to Feb 2002) which developed
"Computerized Maintenance Management
System (CMMS)", to provide maintenance
management of Oil drilling Plants for the Orient
Petroleum Inc. (OPI), Pakistan. The product
was developed using Visual Basic 6.0 and
SQL Server.
I was deputed (from Feb 2002 to Jan 2006) as
a Technical Consultant to one of the key
clients (Government Sector organization) of
MIT soft. I was responsible for the Design and
Development of GIS products. For the
Prototyping phase, we used MapInfo. For the
final phase we used ArcGIS Family products
including ArcMap and MapObjects for
embedded GIS Applications. My key
responsibilities were
• Capture and analyzing the user requirements
• Conceive major capacities of the system to
solve user problems
• Extensive interaction with the user including
workshops and presentations
• Design and document the conceived system
• Develop various GIS applications as a
prototype of the system | | Software Engineer | Excel Net | | July 2001 - February 2002 | 6th Road, Rawalpindi, Pakistan | I Designed and developed output (technical
reports) for Internet Service Providers (ISPs)
billing system keeping in view the services and
support requirements for ISPs. I also
developed Pre paid Scratch Card billing
module for the billing system using Java Server
Pages (JSP).

Assessment System” Project. I performed
Reverse Engineering of the available
application to collect design elements for this
software. This software was designed to easily
accommodate changes and tax formulae can
be modified according to New Year tax codes
in relatively short period of time (15 days) with
minimal efforts. Following are the main
components of software where I contributed
my analysis and development efforts
• Computerization of Tax Forms (Personal
Tax, 1040)for Federal & 42 States
• Accounting system capable to transfer data
to tax system
• Depreciation calculation module for tax
system
• Payroll system
• Client billing system for CPA
• Diagnostic routines to trap errors in tax

cultures.
I am familiar with ESRI Technology (ESRI and
its partners) and I have 7 years of experience
primarily in GIS development. I am in Sweden
waiting for my degree. My final project was
“Comparison of GIS Server Technologies
between Commercial and Open Source”. You
