Project Detail:
The WRIS, Rajasthan is a part of an
initiative funded by World Bank for improving
the irrigation system in the State of Rajasthan.
The scope of the Web based application
includes the provision of Web-enabled GIS
based Water Resources information System
(WRIS) & support services to develop an web
based application (MIS) along with GIS
maps/database for the entire state of
Rajasthan using satellite images, to overlay all
Water Resources infrastructure data like Well,
Drains, Canals, Streams, Rivers, Dams and
Reservoirs etc.
The WRIS is developed using UNICODE
system to support use of local language
(database and user interface). The main goal
of WRIS application is to empower business
user with the timely and accurate information.
The proposed solution will include design that
would be able to handle both regular and ad-
