WORK EXPERIENCE
September,2007 TO 2009 CRYSATLINE CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES

I am working at Crystalline Chemical Industries for about Three years as a Process Engineer. It’s a plant which manufactured sugar and chemicals from molasses. My work over there is to control the whole process from reactant to the product. This process involved reaction, evaporation, crystallization, dozing to maintain the Ph of the solution, etc. also to control the pressure of the vessels, check the quantity and quality of the product. If there is any problem occurred then to solve the problem in short period and run the plant.
I also worked in Jeddah as ISO consultant.
My responsibilities

• Solve the problem take place in the process.
• Remove the errors occurred during process.
• Maintenance of the equipments where needed in order to maintain the plant in running position.
• Monitor the quality of the raw material and the finished product.
• Conduct routine actively work to identify and provide input for continuous improvement and barriers elimination.
• Supervise lab technicians.
• Commit to all safety issues and general policies and procedure.
• Check the documentation records and prepare the work sheet.
• Implement the ISO rules.

Responsibilities and my interests
o Prepares daily performance summaries to monitor plant performance. Includes studying laboratory test reports, standard log sheets and other daily operating activities reports and compiling information for review. Highlights abnormalities and advises operations on corrective actions for discussions.
o Collects monthly plant production and operating data, evaluates unit efficiencies by relating chemical and energy consumption to plant throughout. Identifies possible trends, prepares reports with comments for further review.
o Monitors equipment and systems performance, identifies potential problems and submits recommendations for appropriate actions such as revising operating modes or conditions, recommending chemical dosing and specifications, rescheduling of required shutdowns initiating chemical cleaning, proposing modifications to existing systems and following up to ensure proper execution. Issues the monthly plant health report.
o Participates in the identification of possible solutions in process problem areas includes analyzing operating reports and discussing problem items with the department concerned.
o Provides functional assistance and analyses the results of special tests from operational units, in order to provide further information for analysis and/or to test check effectiveness of alterations. Involves closes monitoring of test runs and close collaboration with the operations department.
o Provides technical services and assistance to other sections such as instrumentation, maintenance, inspection and materials as required. Includes investigating problems associated with process, diagnosing corrosion problems, preparing technical specifications of operating chemicals and other materials and carrying out the technical evaluation on bids for chemicals and catalysts. Expertise to coordinate technical review meetings for modifications in plant
o Provides comments on the drawings and P&I (Piping and instrumentation) diagrams. Checks the process documentation issued by licensors for consistency.
o Participates in technical and HAZOP studies pertaining to proposed modifications, including identifying potential operational and safety related problems and coordinating appropriate solutions.
o Develops computer programmers for process plants monitoring and yield prediction. Applies computer simulation models and other advanced techniques to achieve optimum plant performance.
o Assists in preparing training programs for new young engineers undergoing on-the-job training by identifying specific training needs. Provides training, guidance and counseling to trainees and develops on their career development.
o Carried out other similar or related duties as assigned, such as maintaining records and files of all process engineering activities, providing day-to-day routine advice to operations personnel on operating parameters and keeping abreast of developments in the field of process engineering.
