1.BENTON PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT
Client: ESRI, Redlands, CA (USA)
Role: Team Member/QC
Description: The scope of work includes
Geometrical correction of the Geodatabase
where automated cleanup cannot establish
connectivity. Microstation CAD features are
migrated into ArcGIS feature classes using
geoprocessing tools. The work includes
Segmentation, Attribute Population, Bad
geometries cleanup and snapping appropriate
features to maintain electric network
connectivity. The work also includes
Geometric network Tracing and Population of
correct electric flow.
Responsible for: Requirement Analysis,
Creating project plans, Resolving Technical
issues, Quality Control and Final Inspection of
the final deliverables before delivering to the
client.
Software: ArcGIS9.2, PLTS GIS Data Reviewer
and AutoCAD2000
2.Project Title: TEXAS GAS SERVICE
Client: ESRI CALIFORNIA (USA)
Role: Team Member/QC
Description: To move and rotate the parcel line
along with Gas pipeline according to the base
poly line and to update the feature classes.
The distance between the Gas pipeline and
the base poly line should remain the same
after landbase adjustment. After the landbase
adjustment, clean up process is done in which
all the devices are connected to the Gas
Pipelines.
Responsible for: Landbase adjustment and
clean up process and quality checking for the
desired process.
3.Project Title: RIL LANDBASE UPDATE
PROJECT
Client: RELIANCE INDUSTRIES LIMITED,
MUMBAI
Role: Team Member/QC
Description: To capture and update the
database from satellite imagery for cities and
towns of India update relevant predefined
feature classes for RIL GIS database for area
out side existing landbase as well as areas
overlapping between new imagery acquisition
area and existing landbase coverage area.
Responsible for: Digitization of vector data
visible in the imagery with all attribute updation
in fresh and pre-existing data provided by
client over 156 cities landbase required to be
captured and updated for cities and towns of
India.
4.Project Title: RCOMM
Client: RELIANCE COMMUNICATIONS
(RELIANCE DIGITAL WORLD Ltd.)
Role: Team Member\QC
Description: Reliance Digital World Ltd. is in
the process of building/updating a detailed
country wide
Gis Infrastructure to support various telecom
projects. For this high resolution satellite
images are being sourced for defined area of
interest for different cities. The whole process
for making the GIS ready drawings will involve
geo-referencing of satellite images digitization
field validation and attribute addition. After this
the images will be ingested into the selected
GIS platform for telecom application
development.
Responsible for: Digitization of
vector database creation as per the client’s
specifications. Responsibility also includes
handling report generation activities and
Georeferencing and mosaicing of all data. |

My name is Deepak Gakhar and I am
presently pursuing M.B.A. from Kohinoor
Business School, Khandala (Maharashtra) and
completed my graduation in 2007 also with a
GNIIT diploma from NIIT in Software
Engineering.
I am having a work experience of 19 months in
the field of Geographical Information
System(G.I.S.) and I have been able to meet
and surpass my client's expectations.
I was a Quality analyst and leaded a team of
4-5 members and landbase, utilities have been
part of my job description.
