| | | | Other Information | I am a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Analyst by training--most of my experience has been solidly in that field--however, for the last three years I've been immersed in public safety, automatic vehicle location (AVL); computer-aided dispatch (CAD); and vehicle tracking. I've been working intensively with Northrup-Grumman products--a major vendor of dispatch software; and I worked 'embedded' with the FDNY.
This was all performed under contract for the massive, federally-funded Emergency Communications Transformation Project (ECTP) which is still ongoing in New York City via the Department of Information Technology (DOITT). Improving emergency communications meant integrating the FDNY's requirements for their new digital street centerline product; as well as many other layers of GIS data across many agencies. The result is that I have a strong familiarity with much of the GIS-related activity currently ongoing in New York City.
Ideally, I would like to parlay this background into a position where I can serve in the most effective manner; as it is very specialized knowledge. I am seeking any kind of GIS-related project which relies on New York City's GIS datasets. | | | Keywords: | AML, ArcGIS, ArcObjects, AutoCAD Map, Manifold, Javascript | |
